Thanks for your interest in renewable energy and for your interest in taking action to preserve our natural resources. When you sign up for GreenerGMP, Green Mountain Power will purchase certified renewable energy from the Moretown landfill and the Westminster Farm methane digester equal to the portion of electricity you have designated.

You can choose to have Green Mountain Power designate renewable resources equal to any multiple of 10 percent of your monthly use. The additional premium for GreenerGMP is 3 cents per kilowatthour (subject to change, if approved by the Public Service Board.)

To get an idea of what your additional monthly cost would be, multiply your average number of kilowatthours used by 10%, then by 3 cents. Remember, your actual use varies month to month, so the total monthly charge for GreenerGMP would vary as well.
